Pre-doc Research Assistant
The Department of Real Estate has 1 – 2 full-time pre-doctoral (“predoc”) Research-Assistant positions available each academic year. The typical appointment duration is one year. Each predoc is expected to work in 2 – 3 projects (each around 4 – 6 months), in order to have a good understanding of the research projects while collaborating with different faculty members.

We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and nationalities, subject to the following requirements:
- Is completing/has completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree from reputable institutions
- Major in Real Estate, Economics, Finance, Urban Planning, Statistics, or other related field
- Has evidence of outstanding academic achievements and/or strong quantitative training
- Has a clear ambition to pursue a PhD in future
- Has research experience and knowledge in data analysis
- Fluent in written and spoken English
Proposed responsibilities:
- Assist faculty members with research projects
- Conduct literature review and data collection
- Perform data analytics using software such as R, Python, Stata, Matlab, etc.
- Participate in research brainstorming and contribute to write-ups
