Mentorship Programme

Connecting Students with industry leaders for a transformative 9-month journey

The 9-month mentorship programme was launched in 2023, is a collaborative initiative between the Department of Real Estate (DRE) and the Institute of Real Estate and Urban Studies (IREUS) at NUS. The initiative connects experienced industry professionals with passionate real estate students who are eager to learn and grow in their academic and career journeys.

Two tracks:

  1. ExploRE Track – For Year 1–2 students who are open to learning more about real estate and may still be deciding whether to pursue it as a major or career path.
  2. Main 1-to-1 Track – For BBA students who
    • have already chosen real estate as their first or second major
    • are ready for a more focused 1-to-1 mentoring relationship
    • are committed to engaging actively with their mentor over the 9-month period

Programme Objectives:

  • Provide a platform for students and industry professionals to meet, learn and connect
  • Help students gain a clearer understanding of real estate career paths and options
  • Create early exposure for students who are still exploring real estate
  • Support students who are ready to deepen their career development through 1-to-1 mentoring
  • Promote a vibrant real estate community through active engagements.
  • Encourage a culture of giving back among alumni and students

What to expect?

  • Active participation in the mentoring process, including initiating and attending the meetings and sessions assigned under their track, either in persons or virtually
  • Participate in programme check-ins, related feedback forms and surveys.
  • Attend events organized by DRE, IREUS, BREN, BEMS, REFM or CREAM Club (e.g. public lectures, fire-side chats, seminars, off-campus visits etc.)
