REConnect Day 2026
The Department with the Institute of Real Estate and Urban Studies (IREUS) held the REConnect Day 2026 on 10 Mar 2026 at NUS Business School, Level 1 Atrium.
The purpose of the event is to renew old ties and make connections with the Alumni.
The attendees are Graduates from the Years – 1981 (45th anniversary), 1986 (40th anniversary), 1991 (35th anniversary), 1996 (30th anniversary), 2001 (25th anniversary), 2006 (20th anniversary), 2011 (15th anniversary) and 2016 (10th anniversary), mentors and current students.
During the event, we even recognise the recipients who have been awarded the Term 2520 IREUS Scholarships.
With everyone leaving the event happily, it warms our heart and made us want to do this event yearly.

Department Staff Bonding 2025
On 11- 14 Dec 2025, the Department held their 2nd overseas staff bonding trip bringing their family members and they went to Bali this time round.
Time passes very quickly and they bonded together like having fun in ATV, and meals and even not forgetting about work – having short meetings in Prof Sumit’s villa.
The kids bonded together over the 4 days having fun in the pool.
Now we are looking forward to the next staff bonding in 2026!
Department Staff Bonding 2024
On 15 – 17 Nov 2024, the Department held their first overseas staff bonding trip in Phuket. The staff brought along the family members and everyone bonded over the short weekend.
On Saturday, the faculty and staff engaged in a meeting by the seaside to discuss about the new curriculum, the challenges which they are facing and how they can work together to solve it.
While the adults are busy working, the kids also have fun.
Before the group went back to Singapore to continue working, they have lunch at their local restaurant.
Department Retreat 2022
On 23 Sept 2022, the Department of Real Estate held an in-person retreat for faculty and staff at Mandarin Oriental Singapore. The retreat opens with Real Estate Head of Department, Professor Sumit Agarwal presenting National Day Award 2021 Award medal to Prof Yu Shi Ming. The day continued with team lunch and followed by an hour-long art art jamming session where faculty and staff are divided into four groups to create beautiful paintings/drawings. After a short break and group photo, the day continues with breakout session and presentation where faculty and staff engage in a group discussion on how they can work together in facing challenges within the departments.
