CGS Celebrates 15th Anniversary with New E-book

2025 marks the 15th anniversary of the Centre for Governance and Sustainability (CGS). It is also NUS Business School’s 60th anniversary.

To mark the momentous occasion, NUS Centre for Governance and Sustainability (CGS) is proud to launch a commemorative e-book “15 Lessons in Corporate Sustainability and Governance“.

A compilation of commentaries, it aims to inspire individuals and organisations to join the sustainability cause. Divided into four themes, the 15 essays delve into sustainability mindsets, implementation, communicating progress and investing in sustainability talent.

Masterclass on sustainability

The e-book was launched on 16 May 2025 during a segment for NUS Business School’s Homecoming.

Referring to recent global affairs developments, where commitment for sustainability seems to be declining, Prof Loh explains how the Economics + Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) combination will work. It is building the business case for sustainability, one that goes beyond responsibility and risk management, one that brings returns.

Advancing sustainability and governance is an ongoing journey. Over the past 15 years, CGS is privileged to work alongside dedicated faculty, partners and students in advancing research and education for sustainable governance. We thank them for their support and look forward to more collaborations in the years to come.
