NUS Business School (NUS-BIZ) is a globally respected research institution anchored in Asia. Diverse institutional and enterprise settings with complex policies in rapidly evolving markets in the region enable our faculty members and researchers to publish rigorous, high-quality research papers in top-tier journals that are also relevant to decision-makers in Singapore, Asa, and beyond.

Artificial intelligence (AI) enhances methods, scale, and speed of knowledge creation. The next phase of its research development should position the School as a distinctive leader in AI-enabled business scholarship, connecting frontier global knowledge with stronger translation of scholarship into policy insight, enterprise practice, and societal value.

NUS-BIZ should strengthen collaboration with leading universities, research centers, scholars, and industry networks to increase the international visibility, quality, and influence of its research. In addition to addressing research questions with international significance and clear potential for publication in leading field journals, our research should have translational impact on local policies, attract external funding opportunities, and facilitate cross-border intellectual exchange.

NUS-BIZ should strengthen engagement with government, industry, and community partners on issues where business research can create measurable value. Our research should be readily translatable into policy insights, entrepreneurship, innovative solutions, and public thought leadership, contributing to broader societal outcomes.

NUS-BIZ should embrace AI responsibly as a strategic research capability that improves productivity, expands methodological options, supports interdisciplinary inquiry, and strengthens the translation of research.

Delivery of the strategies will require alignment between ambition, incentives, infrastructure, and talent development. NUS-BIZ should reinforce a research culture that values intellectual ambition, methodological rigor, collaboration, mentorship, responsible AI use, and engagement beyond academia.

The strength of NUS-BIZ is not defined despite our location in Asia, but because of it. Asia provides a distinctive setting for research on digital transformation, aging societies, sustainable growth, resilient supply chains, financial innovation, entrepreneurship, governance, and inclusive development, among other areas.

NUS-BIZ should strengthen its scholarly reputation while increasing the practical relevance of its research to Singapore, Asia, and the global business community.
