Knowledge Exchange at the HIT-CGS Forum

We were delighted to welcome a delegation from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), led by Prof Mai Qiang, Director of the Master of Public Administration (MPA) Center, for a day of meaningful exchange.

The HIT-CGS Forum on 12 August began with introductions by Prof Lawrence Loh, Director, Centre for Governance and Sustainability (CGS) at NUS Business School, and Prof Mai, who shared insights into their respective institutions, ongoing initiatives, and opportunities for international collaboration.

A gift exchange followed, symbolising the mutual respect and friendship between our organisations.

The programme also featured an enriching academic publishing workshop by Dr Steven Moay and Dr Nicolette Yau from MDPI Singapore.

The afternoon saw the HIT delegation and our visiting PhD students giving research presentations and fielding questions from the audience. It was an enriching knowledge exchange session spanning topics such as government chatbots, renewable portfolios and green human resource management.

*The presenters also included CGS visiting PhD student Ms Luo Yanjun, who shared her research on Large Language Model (LLM)-based decisions.*

The conversations extended into a productive meeting and dinner, where ideas and aspirations were further explored.
