A Night Marking NUS BIZ 60

NUS Business School’s 60th Anniversary Gala Dinner was graced by Ms Grace Fu (front row, fourth from right), Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, Singapore. Minister Fu is also an alumna of NUS Business School.
The National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2025. As a research centre under the school, the Centre for Governance and Sustainability (CGS) is proud to be part of its story in shaping students and contributing to society.
The CGS community attended the school’s commemorative gala dinner on 7 November 2025, with generous support from Prof Lawrence Loh, Director, CGS; Mr John Lim, CGS Advisory Board Chair; and Prof Kulwant Singh, CGS Advisory Board Member.
People make up the community. CGS’ achievements would not have been possible without Prof Loh’s leadership and the dedicated contributions of its staff and researchers: Ms Verity Thoi, Ms Ang Hui Min, Mr Kong Zhen Wei, Ms Annette Singh, Ms Aster Nguyen, Mr Bima Satria, Ms Huang Minjun and Ms Trang Nguyen.

Joining us at the dinner, and forming an important part of our community, are:
– Ms Juanita Woodward, part of the CGS Advisory Board that has provided invaluable guidance for the centre’s direction and initiatives
– Mr Alvin Lim and Mr Tim Zhang, who are among CGS’ Senior Fellows that bring intellectual expertise across fields to our research and partnerships
-Mr Terence Quek and Mr Edwin Lee, respectively CEO and Deputy CEO from the Singapore Institute of Directors; and Mr Gavin Goh, Education Relationships Lead, ACCA Singapore. We are thankful to collaborate with all our partners, working for shared goals and creating amplified impact.
-Our visiting PhD students, who are growing as scholars in their fields

Here’s to the many people, partnerships, and purpose that continue to shape CGS and the NUS Business School community!
