TPC (Tsao Pao Chee) is a fourth-generation, purpose-led business ecosystem rooted in the belief that business exists to serve the well-being of life. Founded in the late 1800s, TPC has grown from a family-run shipping company into a multinational group operating across Singapore, China, Indonesia, and Thailand. Today, TPC moves what matters — delivering value that helps people grow, systems flow, and life flourish. Our ecosystem spans four essential dimensions of the Well-being Economy: production (via logistics and industrial services through IMC Industrial), consumption (through conscious living and learning via Octave Institute and Octave Living), capital (via purpose-aligned investing with Octave Capital), and philanthropy (through community building and ecosystem restoration with No.17 Foundation). TPC partners with next-generation leaders, enterprises, and institutions to co-create value that regenerates lives and systems — now and for the future.

Founded in 2010, the Centre for Governance and Sustainability (CGS) is housed at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School. Our research empowers leaders, organisations and regulators in making informed decisions related to corporate sustainability and corporate governance.

We bridge knowledge with industry needs, enabling organisations in the Asia Pacific, including ASEAN and Singapore, to go further in their sustainability journeys.
