CGIO is recognised as the pioneer and expert on research in corporate governance with its flagship Governance and Transparency Index (GTI) and ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS).

Established since 2008, GTI was developed in conjunction with CPA Australia (CPAA), with The Business Times as its media partner. The Singapore Governance and Transparency Index (SGTI) succeeded the GTI in 2016 as an enhanced assessment to meet the market needs of the future. It is a collaboration with CPAA and Singapore Institute of Directors (SID).

The ACGS was jointly developed with SID in 2012 to examine and assess the corporate governance landscape in ASEAN.

In addition to its flagship SGTI and ACGS, CGIO also produced a report on Corporate Disclosure on Business Integrity in 2016 with the aim to harmonise integrity initiatives in ASEAN countries to international standards. The report was a collaboration with ASEAN CSR Network.

In 2016, both CGIO and Securities Investors Association (Singapore) (SIAS) entered into a partnership to develop corporate governance, transparency and diversity scorecards for SIAS Investors’ Choice Awards 2016. The results was launched at the SIAS 17th Investors’ Choice Awards Dinner Presentation Ceremony on 30 September 2016.
