Dr Chng Pheng Lui was a dear friend to many of us at NUS Business School. He had a sunny personality and a way of making people around him feel comfortable including students, staff and faculty.
Pheng Lui was an exemplary teacher and a mentor to many students. This naturally led him to excel as the assistant dean in charge of student affairs. He was also generous with his time with junior faculty, providing mentorship in their teaching and career development.
Pheng Lui was a people person, authentic in all his engagements and caring for others without expecting much in return.
