Dr Ling Sing Chee is fondly remembered as a jovial, positive, and fully committed member of the School and the Department of Management & Organisation. She would always put students’ interests first and she was a favourite teacher among the School’s inquisitive students who would frequently throng her office to look for more knowledge and advice.
Sing Chee was also a valuable and approachable colleague who would always try her best to accommodate the needs of the Department and School in the areas of teaching and services. She would generously and without hesitation share the teaching materials that she had spent weeks or months to compile and organise with teaching colleagues who needed her guidance most. This selfless outlook of hers had quietly but surely helped new teaching colleagues pick up the requisite materials and skills to excel as teachers.
Her contributions enhanced the quality of education at the Department, School, and NUS directly and indirectly and, more importantly, she did so altruistically and without expecting any form of tangible or intangible rewards in return. Sing Chee will be dearly missed.
