Singapore, 12 October 2026 – The National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School’s Executive MBA (EMBA) has been ranked ninth globally in the Financial Times (FT) Executive MBA Ranking 2026.
The NUS EMBA rose 14 places from 23rd in 2025, marking its highest position and first entry into the global Top 10 since it began participating in the annual FT ranking in 2008. NUS is the only Singapore autonomous university in the global Top 10.
Strong alumni outcomes contributed to the programme’s rise. Three years after graduation, NUS EMBA alumni reported an average salary of US$542,224, compared with US$372,278 last year. This was the third-highest average salary among programmes in the global Top 10.
Alumni also reported salaries 83 per cent higher than before their EMBA.
Beyond alumni outcomes, NUS Business School rose 22 places to sixth globally for research. The FT research metric is based on faculty publications in 50 leading academic and practitioner journals, adjusted for faculty size.
Professor Teo Chung Piaw, Dean of NUS Business School, said, “The NUS Executive MBA is designed to prepare senior leaders to navigate complexity, lead across markets and make sound decisions in a rapidly changing business environment. Our focus is on developing the judgement, perspective and adaptability that leaders need to create impact across Asia and beyond.
“This ranking is a welcome recognition of the programme’s progress. Ultimately, what matters most is that our graduates are better equipped to lead with confidence, navigate change and make a meaningful difference in their organisations and communities.”
As part of broader efforts to integrate AI into business education, NUS Business School is exploring how the technology can enhance business teaching and learning while strengthening human judgement and critical thinking. Since January 2026, the School has been piloting an AI-enabled business simulation in which MBA and EMBA students interview AI-simulated executives, assess competing perspectives and make decisions under uncertainty.
