Health & Wealth Series is a collaboration between the NUS BIZAlum office and Duke-NUS Alumni relations office. Join us as we invite faculty and alumni from both schools to share their insights and strategies to better health and better wealth!

Through this online dialogue series, we hope our alumni will be able to pick up useful tips to strengthen your mental and financial wellness so that you can live the life you aspire to lead.

Part ONE of this joint initiative features the Positive Psychology Series which will run fortnightly on Wednesdays, 7.30 – 8.30pm, starting on 21 April 2021. This four part series will be led by Dr Mara McAdams, Associate Dean of Duke-NUS Alumni Relations, who will be sharing new strategies to increase happiness and become more resilient.

Dr Mara McAdams

Associate Dean, Alumni Relations, Duke-NUS Medical School

Dr Mara McAdams studied History of Art as an undergraduate, while completing the requirements for medical school. She choose to train in Internal Medicine – Primary Care at Bellevue Hospital in New York City, developing her clinical acumen alongside knowledge and skills in medical education. After receiving her board certification in Internal Medicine, she moved to Singapore. She joined Duke-NUS, a graduate medical school collaboration between Duke University and National University of Singapore, as a founding member of the teaching faculty when it launched in 2007.
