Assistant Professor , Singapore Management University

Aljoscha Janssen is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Singapore Management University. His research interests centre around empirical topics of Industrial Organization. In particular, Aljoscha focuses on consumer-to-firm and firm-to-firm interactions to identify and quantify market inefficiencies and welfare losses. Most of his research intends to evaluate and/or recommend policies that reduce efficiency losses. Currently, Aljoscha concentrates on applications in retail, health, and financial markets, as well as on topics regarding innovation. His research is published in journals such as the American Economic Review or Quantitative Marketing and Economics. Aljoscha holds a PhD in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics.
