A Manifesto: The Road to a Human-Centred Digital Society
In "Conferences"

The future of work requires the use and advancement of Human-Centred AI (HCAI). But getting this to work in practice requires a “behavioural” human-centred perspective, and the Centre on AI Technology for Humankind (AiTH) has developed exactly that!

The world is racing towards unfettered technological progress, but this increased pace has brought with it growing fears that we are creating a world where we have put machines first and humans second. The importance of following a path of ‘Human-Centred’ AI is being hailed everywhere: but unfortunately, such a path is poorly understood. HCAI is often used more as a PR strategy to sell teaching programs and ‘digital transformation’ initiatives, that scarcely mitigate the impending threats to the human core of organizations and society.

At AiTH, we have created a unique research centre to develop the thought leadership needed to ensure that we are truly putting humans first when using intelligent technologies, such that we can empower human abilities and achievements in the most diverse ways.

As part of our efforts, we are excited to invite you to the launch of our Manifesto, “The Road to a Human-Centred Digital Society: Opportunities, Challenges and Responsibilities for Humans in the Age of Machines”.
