Around the world, restrictions are gradually being lifted and citizens are re-emerging in their day-to-day routines. While there will be a resurgence on consumption, the road to recovery is long. This session will share insights from new research that studies consumption in China during the lockdown between late January to March 2020, including spending categories that saw the greatest dips and how an effective public health intervention can play a crucial role in reinvigorating the economy.
