Graduate Certificates

Graduate Certificates allow students to gain relevant skills in order to keep themselves up-to-date on the most recent advancement in knowledge and technologies. With dedicated faculty and carefully-crafted syllabi and assessments, students will have the opportunity to evaluate their understanding of the topics at various stages throughout the semester.

We offer two Graduate Certificates:

  • For Analytics and Technology Management Certificates and Asian Business Management Certificates, students must complete two courses out of those offered to earn the respective certificate.

All information is accurate as of 27 July 2026, and subjected to further changes.

This graduate certificate aims to keep students refreshed on technologies and analytics techniques and
how this can be applied to various business functions.

BMS5205 Business Analytics

This course uses the “Models, Data, Decisions” framework to develop an analytical mindset and prepare participants to tackle business problems in a data-rich era. Focus is on sound model development and practical problem solving rather than software technicalities.

BMS5415 Designing Organisations with Data

This course explores organisational (re)design at its most cutting-edge. As a result, Organisation Analytics’ innovative ideas represent a significant departure from conventional management practices and organisational structure design — those that emphasise incentive compensation and reporting; those that rely on long-standing traditions and hearsay; and those that emphasise a “copy best practice” approach to building organisational charts’ boxes and arrows. The new approaches apply scientific knowledge and methods (e.g., Machine Learning) to the improvement of organisational design, and are enabled by a combination of theoretical breakthroughs and increasing processing power and data availability as a result of digitalisation.

BMS5504 Marketing Data Analytics and Visualisation

This course introduces students to the use of data analytics and visualisation. Students will learn how to work with business datasets, prepare and transform data using Python, conduct exploratory data analysis, and apply basic analytical techniques such as regression and classification to generate business insights. The course also emphasizes the principles of effective data visualisation and the design of interactive dashboards using Tableau.

Rather than treating analytics and visualisation as separate activities, the course focuses on the full workflow from business questions to data preparation, analysis, visual communication, and managerial recommendations. Through hands-on exercises and a group project, students will learn how to turn raw data into clear, evidence-based insights that can support business diagnosis, decision-making, and communication with stakeholders. No prior programming background is required, although students are expected to engage actively with Python-based data analysis throughout the course.

This graduate certificate aims to keep students refreshed on technologies and analytics techniques and how this can be applied to various business functions.

BMS5107 Ethical Leadership and Corporate Strategy

C-Suites are recognising the competitive advantage of ethical leadership and values-based decision making. This course provides a practical foundation for how to achieve a triple bottom line through a strategy that embraces business sustainability i.e. economic success through Environment, Social (Labour/Human Rights) and Governance (“ESG”) actions and decisions that current and future leaders can drive and embed within their organisations – established corporations, start-up ventures, family-owned businesses, consulting firms, for profit, not for profit, SMEs etc.

BMS5114 Asian Business Environment

This course focuses on economic growth, politics, culture, and institutions in Asian countries. The first half of the course examines relationships between economic growth, institutions, culture, and management practices. The second half of the course covers industrial policy, trade, and global financial flows.

BMS5410 Negotiation and Conflict Management

This course aims at improving students’ analytical and interpersonal skills in negotiation and conflict management and make sure they do first things first.
They will learn how to utilize their own negotiation strengths and focus on key areas of improvement. Combining lectures, interactive discussions and hands-on activities, it will enable students to develop cutting-edge negotiation/ conflict management strategies and be equipped with powerful influencing, persuasion and conflict resolution skills.
Moreover, since globalization created today’s world, a future business professional must also have the skills and knowledge to make deals and resolve conflicts in a cross-cultural context.
Therefore, the instructor will also introduce the concepts and skills of cross-cultural negotiation, apply them to business reality and teach students the techniques of making deals and managing conflicts in different cultures, to help them become truly global negotiators in the future.
