Dean’s Message

In today’s global business landscape, disruption is the new normal. Every technological shift brings reactions that filter down to the workplace. To thrive in this ever-evolving reality, where Asia is the central growth engine, the world needs business leaders who are flexible, adaptable and ready to contend with an uncertain future. At NUS Business School, we have embraced this challenge in the way we teach, share knowledge and conduct research. Our core endeavour remains clear – we seek to provide transformative education, to groom the next generation of leaders, and to cultivate a strong research culture relevant to the needs of academia, business and society.

NUS Business School’s broad portfolio of undergraduate and graduate programmes are in great demand. They are highly competitive and attract people with widely diverse backgrounds. Our degree students are driven, confident, and arrive with strong records of achievement. In addition, NUS Executive Education offers a wide range of customised and open enrolment programmes for senior executives and managers.

Recognising the quality of our programmes and our graduates, NUS Business School has consistently been ranked among the best in the Asia-Pacific region by independent publications and agencies such as the Financial Times, Economist Intelligence Unit, and QS Top MBA. We are also accredited by the AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) for having met the highest standards in business education.

The quality and impact of NUS Business School’s research is also recognised by other universities around the world, with scholars from more than 1,700 institutions citing our publications over the past six years. In its annual global survey of the top 100 business schools, The University of Texas at Dallas ranks our faculty’s research No. 3 in Asia and 32nd in the world. In line with our mission of “Leading from Asia”, a growing proportion of our research uses Asian data to explore and understand business phenomena and concepts from a regional perspective.

“We seek to provide transformative education, to groom the next generation of leaders, and to cultivate a strong research culture relevant to the needs of academia, business and society”.

Among our faculty of 335, we are proud – and fortunate – to have professors who excel in both research and teaching. Educated at renowned universities including Harvard, Chicago, Stanford, MIT and Oxford, they are committed to providing students with a top-rate business education. Many of them also have significant commercial experience and serve on corporate boards.

Employers are consistently impressed by the quality of students nurtured by the school. Our graduates have a desire to learn and an entrepreneurial spirit that makes them great advocates for driving business transformation. By coming to NUS Business School, recruiters know that they will find leaders that possess a global perspective within an evolving Asian market.

Our growing community of more than 47,000 alumni represents an immense resource for the School. With a presence in every sector and continent, our students benefit from this vast network giving them access to information, industry mentors and job opportunities.

Located in the heart of Asia, NUS Business School is an exciting place to learn and grow. We welcome you to join our community of faculty, staff, students and alumni who are shaping the future of business.
