NUS Business School is the only Singaporean institution to feature in the inaugural ranking

The National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School’s Master of Business Administration (The NUS MBA) programme has been ranked 22nd in the Financial Times’ (FT) inaugural Top MBAs For Finance 2017 ranking.

NUS Business School is the only Southeast Asian institution to be featured in the FT’s latest ranking of 50 full time global MBA programmes.

The ranking is compiled based on data from alumni working in finance only, three years after graduation.

The NUS MBA is ranked 11th overall for international mobility, demonstrating how the rigorous curriculum is enabling its alumni to transcend boundaries. It also scored well in terms of international and gender diversity among the top 50.

Also according to the survey, 86 per cent of alumni in finance stated that their aims of pursuing an MBA for finance were achieved.

The academic rigour of The NUS MBA in the field of finance is also reflected in the percentage of alumni who moved to careers in finance after graduating from the programme. According to the study, 24 per cent of students who did not work in finance before their studies now do so.

“Our flagship NUS MBA is a stepping stone for students who desire a career in the finance industry,” said Professor Jochen Wirtz, Vice-Dean (Graduate Studies), NUS Business School. “This inaugural ranking reflects the strengths of our finance curriculum and its ability to accelerate our alumni’s careers.”

The latest ranking comes after the FT’s January 2017 release of its Global MBA Ranking, which placed The NUS MBA at 26th.
