Silicon Valley, USA, 13 October 2025 – The National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School today announced the launch of the Global Chinese Entrepreneurs Development White Paper: North America Edition, a research-based roadmap for Chinese entrepreneurs in North America to navigate complex market dynamics and build sustainable operations.

The research paper was launched at the NUS New Global Entrepreneurs Silicon Valley Forum organised by the School’s Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) Chinese programme, and attended by more than 300 founders, investors, and industry leaders from Asia and North America.

The paper is the culmination of over seven months of research and insights gathering by the NUS EMBA Chinese programme team through interviews with senior business leaders of successful Chinese companies to understand the factors driving their growth in North America amidst global uncertainty. These findings and key insights within the paper are distilled into three main pillars:

  • Global perspective and local insight: How companies can tap on North America’s major market trends, technology cycles, and policies including data compliance, capital markets, and industrial policy.
  • Successful case studies: Why key decisions and trade-offs can shape product strategy, the importance of hiring and building local teams, sales channels, and branding.
  • Organisational readiness and long-term thinking: Why companies must advance from simply selling abroad to becoming truly global.

Amid accelerating globalisation and rapid technological shifts, many Chinese-founded companies are progressing towards organisational globalisation, where management practices, products, capital and workforces span continents, leading to increased global integration and collaboration.

To help leaders act on these insights and navigate global shifts, the NUS EMBA empowers corporate and business leaders with cutting-edge research, thought leadership and a strong global network to operate confidently in today’s volatile landscape. Many Chinese leaders have gained valuable perspectives and connections through the NUS EMBA Chinese programme.

Distinguished Professor Andrew Rose, Dean of NUS Business School, said, “The Global Chinese Entrepreneurs Development White Paper: North America Edition provides an actionable roadmap for entrepreneurs and investors who want to understand North America’s market structures, regulatory expectations, and commercialisation pathways.”

“By combining deep market analysis with success stories, we offer practical guidance to support the long-term, sustainable growth of our graduates and their businesses. It reflects the School’s mission to serve as a trusted bridge for dialogue, talent, and opportunity between Asia, North America, and the wider world,” added Professor Rose.

“The North America Edition bridges insights from Silicon Valley and other U.S. and Canadian hubs with lessons learned by our graduates on the ground,” said Professor Fu Qiang, Academic Director of the NUS EMBA Chinese programme. “Our goal is to help founders move from ‘going global’ to ‘becoming global’ by providing a framework for success.”
