Dr. Sa-Pyung Sean Shin is a Senior Lecturer of Accounting at NUS Business School, a Research Affiliate at the Sustainable and Green Finance Institute (SGFIN), and a member of the Centre for Investor Protection. He teaches carbon accounting and sustainability reporting and conducts research focused on corporate governance and sustainability accounting, areas critical to today’s regulatory and environmental challenges. Dr. Shin’s notable academic contributions include the publication “Activist Directors: Determinants and Consequences” in the Review of Accounting Studies. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Management from Harvard Business School. Prior to joining NUS in 2021, Dr. Shin served as an Assistant Professor at Singapore Management University, where he taught corporate reporting and financial analysis.
