Mingyi Hung

Fung Term Professor of Accounting/Chair Professor, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

Mingyi Hung is the Fung Term Professor of Accounting and Chair Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She received her Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her research focuses on financial and ESG disclosures and institutional development in global capital markets. She is a current editor of Journal of International Business Studies and a former editor of The Accounting Review. She has published in leading accounting, finance, and business journals including The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and Journal of International Business Studies. Her research has been featured in media outlets such as The Economist and Financial Times.
