Associate Professor and Richard Dieter MS ‘66 & Susan C. Dieter Faculty Fellow, University of Massachusetts Amherst – Isenberg School of Management

Jeremiah Bentley, PhD, CMA is the Richard Dieter MS ’66 & Susan C. Dieter Faculty Fellow and Associate Professor of Accounting at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Jeremy earned a BS and MAcc from Brigham Young University and an MS and PhD from Cornell University. Jeremy teaches managerial and financial accounting, and his research focuses on how the design of accounting systems affects people’s beliefs about their underlying goals as well as their willingness to engage in subtle (i.e., non-fraudulent) forms of deception. Jeremy and his wife, Linda, have five children. In his free time, Jeremy enjoys skiing, playing board games, and cheering on his children in sports for which he doesn’t fully understand the rules.
