Associate Professor of Accounting, McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin

Lisa De Simone is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. She earned her doctorate at the University of Texas at Austin and previously spent seven years on faculty at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Her research examining how multinational corporations and individuals respond to tax incentives worldwide has been published in top accounting and finance journals including The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of the American Taxation Association, Review of Accounting Studies, and Review of Financial Studies. She teaches tax and personal finance courses to students in undergraduate and graduate business and accounting programs.
