Alvis Lo

Associate Professor, Boston College

Alvis Lo’s research interests are in the areas of banking, contracting and financial reporting. He is also interested in studying managerial accounting issues. His research has appeared in leading academic journals such as Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting Research, Management Science, and The Accounting Review, and in the media such as The Wall Street Journal, and CFO Magazine. Alvis currently serves on the editorial board of The Accounting Review and has been a recipient of the journal’s Outstanding Reviewer Award. Alvis has taught courses at the undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. levels, and has taught courses on financial accounting, managerial accounting, and data analytics in accounting. He has been named a Teaching Star at the Carroll School.
