Yong Yu

Professor, The University of Texas at Austin

Yong Yu is a professor of accounting at The University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business. He holds the C. Aubrey Smith Professorship in Accounting. Yu has taught courses on contemporary accounting topics, empirical financial accounting research, and financial statement analysis. Before joining McCombs, he taught introductory financial and managerial accounting for undergraduates at Pennsylvania State University.

Also an accomplished researcher, Yu has published papers on the stock market, financial analysis, and market behavior. His research has been published in the Journal of Accounting Research, The Accounting Review, and Contemporary Accounting Research.
