Biography
Michael Tan was the Director of Industry Operations before he took on the appointment as the CEO of SGPC. He has been leading a team of consultants and professionals to support the Food, Retail and Hospitality enterprises to be future ready through capabilities development, innovation, digital transformation and new markets creation. He was also the Deputy Director, of the Food Division in SPRING Singapore (now known as Enterprise Singapore), responsible for policy
formulation and industry development.
During the period 1999 to 2009, Michael was the Co-Founder and CEO of both i2u Pte Ltd and Smart Communications Pte Ltd as well as the Founder and MD of Alstra Pacific Pte Ltd. This was also the period whereby he started many other enterprises and managed a wide range of business ventures across the region. Michael has diverse experiences across several different industries, providing him with good opportunities, to hone his business acumen and develop a deep understanding on growing enterprises today.
