Join Ms Jessica Tan, Co-CEO of Ping An Group, a conglomerate that serves more than 214 million retail customers and nearly 579 million internet users across China, for her best insight. She will share her views on how to accelerate the business market in China, navigate the Chinese culture and norms, and build a successful working relationship with the Chinese.
Professor Bernard Yeung, Stephen Riady Distinguished Professor in Finance and Strategic Management of NUS Business School, will moderate the Q&A session.

Jessica Tan
Ms Jessica Tan is currently the Co-CEO of Ping An Group (the “Group”), overseeing the Group’s technology and healthcare businesses. She sits on the Group’s Executive Committee and Investment Management Committee, supervises over 30 subsidiaries, and is in charge of seven of them. In Ms Tan’s eight years at Ping An, the Group grew from the world’s 30th largest financial conglomerate into the 5th, serving 634 million online users and 225 million financial customers. Moreover, Ping An made major strides in technology and innovation. The Group has filed 36,000 patent applications around the world, ranking 1st in both fintech and digital healthcare sectors globally.
Ms Tan serves as a member of several government advisory committees, including a global director of the Institute of International Finance (IIF) and a member of the International Association for the Study of Insurance Economics (the Geneva Association). In 2021, Ms Tan was ranked 6th on the World’s 50 Greatest Leaders list by the Fortune magazine.
Before joining Ping An, Ms Tan served as a global partner at McKinsey & Company. She graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and two bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Economics respectively. A native Singaporean, Ms Tan is married and has two daughters.

Prof Bernard Yeung (Moderator)
Professor Bernard Yeung is the Stephen Riady Distinguished Professor in Finance and Strategic Management at the National University of Singapore Business School. He is also the President of the Asian Bureau of Finance and Economic Research. He was Dean of NUS Business School from June 2008 to May 2019. Before joining NUS, he was the Abraham Krasnoff Professor in Global Business, Economics, and Management at New York University (NYU) Stern School of Business and the Director of the NYU China House. From 1988 to 1999, he taught at the University of Michigan and at the University of Alberta from 1983 to 1988.
Professor Yeung has published widely in top-tier academic journals covering topics in Finance, Economics, and Strategy. His citations exceed 27,000.
He was awarded the Public Administration Silver Medal (2018) in Singapore, Irwin Outstanding Educator Award (2013) from the Academy of Management, and is an elected Fellow of the Academy of International Business.
