David de Cremer
Dr. David de Cremer is a Provost’s chair and professor in management and organizations at NUS Business School, National University of Singapore. He is the founder and director of the Center on AI Technology for Humankind at NUS Business school. Before moving to NUS, he was the KPMG endowed chaired professor in management studies and current honorary fellow at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. He is named one of the World’s top 30 management gurus and speakers in 2020 by the organization GlobalGurus, one of the “2021 Thinkers50 Radar list of 30 next generation business thinkers”, nominated for the Thinkers 50 Digital Thinking Award (a bi-annual event that the Financial Times deemed the “Oscars of Management Thinking”), and included in the World Top 2% of scientists (published in 2020). His latest book is “Leadership by algorithm: Who leads and who follows in the AI era?”

Shannon Vallor
Dr. Vallor is the Baillie Gifford Chair in the Ethics of Data and Artificial Intelligence at the Edinburgh Futures Institute (EFI) at the University of Edinburgh, where she is also appointed in Philosophy. Professor Vallor’s research explores how new technologies, especially AI, robotics, and data science, reshape human moral character, habits, and practices. Her work includes advising policymakers and industry on the ethical design and use of AI, and she currently chairs Scotland’s Data Delivery Group. Professor Vallor received the 2015 World Technology Award in Ethics from the World Technology Network. She is a former Visiting Researcher and AI Ethicist at Google.

John Macintyre
Dr. MacIntyre is Pro Vice Chancellor at the University of Sunderland. He did his doctorate in Applied Artificial Intelligence in the early 1990s, and went on to establish the Centre for Adaptive Systems which became recognized by the UK Government as a Centre of Excellence in Applied AI. John is also Co Editor-in-Chief of the journal, AI and Ethics.

Sun Sun Lim
Prof Sun Sun Lim is Professor and Head of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). Previously, she was an Associate Professor at the Department of Communications & New Media at SUTD and Assistant Dean for Research at the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, National University of Singapore. She has also been Head of the Singapore Research Nexus. Her research seeks to uncover the intricacies of the relationship between technology and society. She pays particular focus to the factors that influence how people domesticate technology.

Simon Chesterman
Dr. Chesterman is Dean and Provost’s Chair Professor of the National University of Singapore Faculty of Law and Senior Director of AI Governance at AI Singapore. He is also Editor of the Asian Journal of International Law and Co-President of the Law Schools Global League. Professor Chesterman is a recognized authority on international law, where his work has opened up new areas of research on conceptions of public authority – including the rules and institutions of global governance, state-building and post-conflict reconstruction, the changing role of intelligence agencies, and the emerging role of artificial intelligence and big data.

Yeong Zee Kin (Special Interview Guest)
Yeong Zee Kin is the Assistant Chief Executive (Data Innovation and Protection Group) of the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA) and Deputy Commissioner of the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). Zee Kin oversees IMDA’s Artificial Intelligence and Data Industry development strategy. In his role as an AI and data analytics champion, Zee Kin’s work includes developing forward-thinking governance on AI and data, driving a pipeline of AI talent, promoting industry adoption of AI and data analytics, as well as building specific AI and data science capabilities in Singapore.
