An advocate of financial literacy and consumer protection, Lorna Tan is the Head of Financial Planning Literacy at DBS Bank.  Prior to joining DBS, she was the Invest Editor at The Straits Times and The Sunday Times. She is the author of four Bestsellers: Money Smart – Own Your Financial Destiny, Retire Smart – Financial Planning Made Easy, More Talk Money and Talk Money. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Finance at NUS Business School. 

Over the years, Lorna has won numerous awards for her business journalistic work. They include the Investor Education award in 2016, the Financial Journalist of the Year award in 2007, and the Financial Story of the Year award in 2005, awarded by the Securities Investors Association of Singapore (SIAS). She was also a runner-up for the Excellence in Public Journalism category, and a winner in Excellence in Business Reporting, awarded by Hong Kong-based Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA) in 2006 and 2004.
