Dr Wolfgang Baier
Dr. Wolfgang Baier has been the Group Chief Executive Officer of Luxasia Pte Ltd. since August 2016. He joined the Group as Group CEO and shareholder to transform the leading Asian beauty distributor into the largest beauty omnichannel distribution platform in Asia Pacific, by integrating consumer-centric ecommerce and digital capabilities into the company’s illustrious brick-and-mortar core.
Dr. Baier was the Group Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Post Limited from October 2011 to June 2016 and served as the Chief Executive Officer International at Singapore Post Limited from February 2011 to October 2011. Dr. Baier successfully led the transformation of the Singapore Post Group into non-mail business such as logistics, retail and e-commerce and accelerated its global expansion. This resulted in a significant increase of the shareholder value of the public listed company and a large investment of the Alibaba Group. Dr. Baier served as a Director at Public Listed Singapore Post Limited and several of its affiliates across Asia, Europe and the US.
Before that Dr. Baier worked for more than 10 years with McKinsey & Company in Europe and Asia. He was a Partner at the Singapore office leading the Transportation and Logistics as well as the Operations activities of McKinsey & Company in South East Asia. During his tenure with McKinsey & Company, he worked on many transformations across the globe including the US.
Dr. Baier is currently serving as an Independent board member of DKSH, the Swiss Public Listed provider of Market Expansion Services with a focus on Asia. He served as an Independent Director of Dubai Public Listed Company Aramex, one of the largest Global Logistics companies from 2018 to 2020. Dr. Baier is a keen start-up investor and has co-founded companies in the tech, ecommerce and health space.
He holds a Ph.D. in Law with distinction from the University of Vienna as well as two Masters Degrees: a Master Degree in Law from the University of Vienna (Austria), and a Master Degree in Business Economics from the Universities of Exeter (UK) and Graz (Austria).
