Simon Naga
Vice President, Asia and Fashion , Al Futtaim Group
In 2016, Simon joined Al-Futtaim Group as General Manager – Fashion (MENA) and posted a successful tenure of 2 years and was promoted to Managing Director to oversee all brands from the Inditex Group in the Asia market. With a career spanning over 20 years in the retail industry, Simon covers an extensive portfolio and currently helms the position of Vice-President – Asia & Fashion (Asia & MENA). He is responsible for all fashion brands under the Al-Futtaim Group in Asia, with brands from one of the world’s largest fashion retailers with a worldwide presence; Inditex brands (Zara, Massimo Dutti, Pull&Bear, Bershka, Oysho, Zara Home) as well as Fashion brands (Ted Baker, Lacoste, Sandro, Maje, Kiabi, Hugo Boss, Aape).
With sharp business acumen, operations and management skills in the consumer business, Simon spearheaded the turnaround of a chain of dealerships. Under his leadership, he also led the group to achieve digital & payment transformation and expanded its presence on e-Commerce platforms within record time, creating an Omni-Channel shopping experience.
Prior to joining Al-Futtaim Group, his last vocation was with the Azadea Group based in MENA. He was responsible for leading and managing the country’s business operations as well as ensuring business profitability. He holds the 2014 record of double-digit revenue growth for the business portfolio. In his earlier professional years, he gained important extensive retail operations and brand management experience with multi-label lifestyle brands retailer Dubai Group Holding.
Simon possesses a Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Trade and Commerce from Ain Shams University.

Mohamed Zainal Abdelkarim AlZarooni
Head of Economic, Political and Media Affairs , The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation
In 2019, Mohamed started his tenure at the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation as an Economic Affairs Senior Specialist, specializing in the Asian continent. Following 3 years of successful engagement with Emirati and Foreign investors, stakeholders, companies and fellow diplomats, Mohamed was appointed as the Head of Economic, Political and Media Affairs Section at the UAE Embassy in Singapore on 1 October 2022.
Prior to joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mohamed served in his capacity as a Senior Data Engineer under the previous Minister of Higher Education (now Minister of Education).
Mohamed holds a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cardiff University, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Management from the University of Southern California, and a Masters in International Law, International Relations and Diplomacy from Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi.
