About Professor Lilian Cheng<\/span><\/h1>\n

Lillian Cheng was an Adjunct in the Marketing Department of the Business School since 2014. While undergraduates & post-graduates will know her for her expertise in pricing, Lillian was much more, a devoted mother, a beloved colleague and a mentor to so many of her students. <\/span><\/p>\n

At the Business School, she also led the Launch Your Transformation program, one of the signature courses of the MBA program, as well as co-designed the MBA Survival Kit.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

One of her passion projects at the Business School was the creation of the Sandbox Speaker Series: a TEDx-like platform for MBAs to practice their storytelling, share their lives, and bond as a cohort. Since inception in 2019, over 100 speakers have gone up to the stage, and the Sandbox talks have become a defining part of the MBA program.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a tribute to her and in memory of her legacy, it is only fitting that funds raised from this campaign will go directly to the Sandbox Series, in two ways:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

(1) An endowed prize named after Lillian to recognize annually the top Sandbox Speaker as voted on by his\/her peers<\/span><\/h4>\n

(2) The creation of a soundproof space \/ mini-studio to allow students to practice their talks, record podcasts or even conduct\u00a0 a\u00a0 <\/span>virtual job interview<\/span><\/h4>\n
