The Singapore Exchange (SGX) and the Centre for Governance, Institutions and Organisations (CGIO) at NUS Business School are holding a forum on ‘Sustainability Reporting: Progress and Challenges’ at SGX Auditorium on Wednesday, 4 December 2019 from 10am to 12 noon.
We are pleased to have Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for the Environment and Water Resources as guest of honour. Mr Tan Boon Gin, CEO of SGX Regulation will be giving the opening address.
Prof Lawrence Loh, CGIO’s Director, will be presenting the results of its latest Sustainability Reporting (SR) assessment, followed by a panel discussion comprising domain experts and industry leaders in the sustainability field.
The Singapore Exchange (SGX) has announced its guidelines for sustainability reporting. The guidelines will apply to listed companies on a ‘comply or explain’ basis from the financial year ending on, or after 31 Dec 2017, with reports to be published from 2018.
The forum will provide a report on the progress that companies have made since SR was introduced as well as provide opportunities for companies to engage with the panel on the progress and challenges they face.
