Whilst green building practices bring about economic, environmental and social benefits, the concept of sustainable development is still not pervasive in the design and construction of buildings.

In the forefront of China's sustainable building efforts is China Vanke, the largest real estate developer in China. Dedicated to energy conservation and reducing carbon footprint, one of Vanke's many projects includes the development and construction of zero-carbon emission buildings within the Beijing Green Building Park, which is billed as a model of sustainable masterplanning. Vanke Centre, which is the company's headquarters in Shenzhen, is a horizontal skyscraper that embodies the highest green values, making it one of the most sustainable buildings in China.

Mr. Wang Shi, Chairman and Founder of China Vanke, and a dedicated environmentalist, will share the company's vision and efforts on sustainability, entrepreneurship and innovation in green buildings. Associate Professor Sing Tien Foo from NUS Department of Real Estate will moderate the Q&A Session.
