Ace received his Master of Science in Management from Otto-von-Guericke Universitaet in Germany. He also has a Master in Applied Finance from The University of Adelaide where he specialised in risk and portfolio management. Prior to joining CGIO, Ace worked in the banking industry specialising in risk management. His passion lies in theoretical and applied research in business and hopes that his contribution to the research will bring benefits to society as a whole.
Shiau Ping graduated from University of Science Malaysia, Malaysia with a Master in Business Administration (Sustainable Development). Before joining CGIO, she accumulated considerable research experiences in the manufacturing sector. LEE is passionate about business research that brings a positive change to society. At CGIO, she works with faculty members on projects related to corporate governance and corporate sustainability.
Junying graduated from Duquesne University, United States with a Master of Science (Accountancy) and National University of Singapore with a Master of Arts by research (Chinese Studies).
Prior to joining CGIO, she accumulated research experiences in sustainability while working as research assistant for professors at Duquesne University. Previously she also worked as staff accountant in a government entity and business resource librarian at NUS, these different roles equipped her with in-depth knowledge of financial statements and business research skills.
Haiyi received her BA in Journalism and Communication from Renmin University of China. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from National University of Singapore. Haiyi has research experience in media literacy, water policy and climate change. She assisted the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UNFAO) with impact evaluation of climate change on nutrition during their policy analysis exercise.
Verity graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences and completed a Bachelor of Psychology Degree (Honours) at James Cook University in 2012. Prior to joining NUS Business School, she was cabin crew supervisor with British Airways (BA). While at BA, she held the position of Chairman of BA Cabin Crew Union from 2011 to 2013. She worked closely with the management and union to obtain fair and equitable treatment for the cabin crew union members. She also had prior experience as a journalist at People’s Association for their monthly publications.
Verity enjoys the challenges her current role entails and looks forward to more research collaborations and opportunities for the Centre’s growth and impact. Verity was Chairman of Business School Social Committee from 2014 to 2016. She enjoys interacting and socialising with people from all walks of life, organising events and embarking on new work experiences to widen her horizon.
Maureen supports the Centre for Governance, Institutions and Organisations (CGIO) in administrative, event and research project matters.
Maureen was previously with Societe Generale as a secretary at the Treasury department. She managed the calendars of 3 managing directors as well as supported a team of traders and sales personnel in the trading floor.
