Institutional investors spend hundreds of hours each year meeting with potential investee companies. Often these opportunities are wasted due to the lack of preparation by investors. Improving your company visit technique can lead to a better understanding of the investment opportunity set. Mastering the technique of participating in a company visit can make an even bigger difference.
CAMRI is hosting a three-hour applied workshop focused on “the company visit” – a key part of the fundamental research process. The workshop starts at 3:30pm on Friday 26 April at the CAMRI Lab and will cover topics such as:
What to take with you to the company visit
Building a rapport with management
Preparing a plan to make the most of your meeting
External IR professionals – how to leverage their knowledge
The dos and don’ts regarding questions to ask companies and other common mistakes
What to look for during on-site visits
During the workshop, participants will conduct a “company visit” with a Hong Kong-listed company followed by a critique of the session.
