The main purpose of the Impact Assessment and Social Performance Management (IASPM) programme is to build the capacity of social purpose organisations in Asia.

In the past years, we aimed to gain a better understanding on how social purpose organisations in Asia measure their social performance. By exploring and mapping the different tools, instruments and approaches that are used by foundations, social enterprises and investors, we now have good insight in where the gaps in knowledge currently are.

ACSEP now leads the conversation on what it means to increase and assess one’s social impact, how to incorporate tools for social performance management, how to conduct rigorous impact evaluations and generally what the core attributes are of becoming a learning organisations.

Measuring & Improving the Impact of Social Organisations
Venue: Mochtar Riady Building, NUS Business School

This two-day programme focuses on designing, implementing, and evaluating strategies for the delivery of social goods and services through non-profit organisations and for-profit enterprises (impact investees). It considers these issues from the perspective of the organisations themselves, government agencies contracting with the organisations, and philanthropists donating to or investing in those organisations.

For the period 2018 to 2020, the Impact Assessment and Social Performance Management programme consist of closely related research and educational activities. We have planned, among others:

To develop an executive education programme in social performance management and impact assessment for social purpose organisations To conduct rigorous impact evaluations of innovative interventions, in close cooperation with social service organisations To consult and assist social purpose organisations in becoming a learning organisation To develop a guide book in social performance management
