Be inspired by the corporate and personal highs and lows of one of the most successful brand developers of our time. Through personal insight and detailed knowledge of brand introduction, this talk discusses the myriad road-blocks large corporates face in achieving successful breakthrough innovation and tells the story of one of the most profitable brands of our time: Red Bull Energy Drink.

Prof Prem Shamdasani, Associate Professor, Department of Marketing, NUS Business School, will moderate the Q&A session.

About the Speaker

Hans P. Vriens has been involved in over 50 brand introductions across the globe. He started his career in advertising at Ogilvy & Mather (Chicago). At Mars Inc., he introduced Balisto into Europe and M&M’s in Spain. At P&G, he launched Wash & Go (Pantene Pro-V). As a member of the founding team at Red Bull Energy Drink, he introduced that brand to over 28 countries. As an Executive Board Member of the world’s largest chocolate manufacturer (Barry Callebaut AG), Hans developed breakthrough chocolate innovations for clients such as Kellogg, Nestle, Kraft, Mondelez, Mars, Hershey, and Ferrero. As an entrepreneur and private equity investor, Hans built several breakthrough innovations in premium drinks and is invested in some selected new brands in the US, Western Europe and Asia.
