You are invited to A Conversation on Family Philanthropy held to launch the NUS ACSEP research paper “Exploring Family Philanthropy in Singapore”.

Throughout the documented history of Singapore, private philanthropy has played an important role. In a study involving direct conversations with philanthropists from family foundations large and small, and from different ethnic groups, the researcher examines family philanthropy in Singapore, as practiced through the family foundation. “Exploring Family Philanthropy in Singapore” presents the essence of family philanthropy through the words of current day family philanthropists as interpreted by the researcher, Dr. June Lee.

A Conversation on Family Philanthropy begins with a brief presentation of highlights from the study by Dr. Lee, followed by comments from a panel of family foundation leaders including Dr. Mary Ann Tsao (Tsao Foundation), Laurence Lien (Lien Foundation), and Sumitra Aswani (Ishk Tolaram Foundation).

Participants are then invited to engage with the panel in a discussion forum on “Family Philanthropy – The Potential for Impact”, sharing their insights from personal and family philanthropy, their aspirations, challenges faced and how they have been addressed.

We would be delighted for you to join us in A Conversation on Family Philanthropy.
