Inter-Collegiate Finance Competition

 

The Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) and CFA Philippines are joint organizers of the competition.

There are four (4) rounds (AM/PM) in the final league of the competition, consisting of a total of fifty (50) technically, mind-stimulating questions. Each round has either 12 or 13 difficult questions in total and each correct answer is awarded 20 points. The questions are given in a multiple-choice format and teams are given 150 seconds to answer. The questions are varied in areas of economics, statistics and not definitely finance. It actually requires the quick-thinking of participants while having to deal with the pressure of facing an audience.

 

A team of three members from NUS, Ashish Goel, Ng Chi Ching Eddie and Zhao Haobo, participated in the 10th ICFC that was held in Manila, Philippines on the 13th of October 2008.

Application:

 

Inter-Collegiate Finance Competition (ICFC)

 
We would like to invite you to participate in the 10th Inter-Collegiate Finance Competition (ICFC) which will beheld on 13 October 2008 at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Auditorium in Manila.
  
Airfare and Accommodation
Each team member will be provided with a subsidy of US$200 for the airfare. Accommodation will be provided in a 5-star hotel.
 
Winners
The winning team gets a PHP 100K (~US$ 2,500) cash prize as well as a PHP 1.25M (~US$ 31,250) scholarship to the Asian Institute of Management (AIM). The top student in the competition will also be given a Full Tuition scholarship to AIM, worth PHP 550K (~US$ 13,750).

How to apply
We are looking for BBA Finance major student who have obtained good grades in Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management module. Each team should have 3 members.
