
Students are required to present a detailed proposal to Head, Student Development as well as Academic Director including the following:
- detailed cost breakdown
- proposed program
- objective and output of the trip
- student selection process
In general,
- trips to SEA countries, up to $500 per pax or 50% of total estimated cost, which ever is lower.
- trips to Australasia and North Asia, up to $700 per pax or 50% of total estimated cost, which ever is lower.
- trips to USA and Europe, up to $2,000 per pax or 50%, which ever is lower.
Any exceptions to the above sponsorship parameters will need to be justified in the written proposal, and subject to consideration by the MBA office.
Participation in these trips is open to a particular cohort and not restricted any specific group of individuals. If there are limited places available, the selection process shall be made known to all individuals.
Students are encouraged to seek external sponsorships to supplement MBA office subsidy if needed.
All accommodation and transports are to be sharing basis as much as possible.
The subsidy will only be enjoyed by the student for one study trip. The purpose is to spread the subsidy across to as many students as possible. Repeat students can go for the trip by finding alternative sources of funds. Exception to this would be when this repeat sponsorship is applied to an organizer of the future subsequent trip, but limited to maximum of 2 people receiving these repeat sponsorships in any particular trip. There shall be no incidence of any individual enjoying more than 2 instances of study trip sponsorships from the MBA office. All exceptions are subject to MBA office review and approval.
