1. Students have to take a minimum of 3 modules a semester to maintain full-time (FT) status.
2. A FT student may take less than 3 modules in the last semester of the program.
3. FT students are eligible for an 80% tuition fee loan.
4. All MBA students are allowed one switch from part-time to full-time or vice versa.
5. FT students on a student visa are restricted to 16 hours of employment a week
6. There are no such employment restrictions on Singaporeans and PRs in the FT program.
7. For students from 2003 intake onwards:
The higher of the 2 tuition fees would be payable: ie
a) If convert from FT to PT, full PT fees will apply.
b) If convert from PT to FT, PT fee will remain applicable.
There will be no pro-rating of fees.
Computing Candidature Conversion between Part-time and Full-time
Based on the maximum candidature in each program – 6 years (12 semesters) for PT and 4 years (8 semesters) for FT.
The conversion ratio of PT:FT is 1:0.66 and FT:PT is 1:1.5
Computing Remaining Candidature - Transferring Part-time to Full-time
The remaining candidature of a PT student transferring to FT after completing 4 semesters as a PT student is:
Max. FT candidature = 8 semesters
Conversion Ratio = 0.66
8 semesters – (0.66 conversion ratio* 4 completed semesters)
= 5.36 semesters OR 2.5 years.
Use the formula: 8 – (.66 * no. of completed semesters)
Computing Remaining Candidature - Transferring Full-time to Part-time
The remaining candidature of a FT student transferring to PT after completing 4 semesters as a FT student is:
Max. PT candidature = 12 semesters
Conversion Ratio = 1.5
12 semesters – (1.5 conversion ratio* 4 completed semesters)
= 6 semesters OR 3 years.
Use the formula: 12 – (1.5 * no. of completed semesters)
