Both NUS Business School and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP) have long been preparing their students for leadership in the private and public sectors. Designed to nurture and develop leaders, the broad-based NUS MBA programme prepares students to lead people and manage operations in organisations in the public and private sectors. Combining the strengths of both NUS Business School and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, this new double degree programme - the first of its kind in the region - aims to attract the region's outstanding executives; particularly those who intend to pursue careers in government and its enterprises.

The NUS MBA Double Degree with Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy for Master in Public Administration (NUS MBA-LKYSPP MPA)programme provides an intensive, interdisciplinary course of study for experienced professionals who wish to acquire new knowledge and skills to enhance their leadership and managerial capabilities. It is suitable for candidates with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.

     

 

Candidates have to fulfill the admission requirements for both degree programmes to gain admission to the Double Degree programme. Students must apply to the NUS MBA- LKYSPP MPA double degree programme prior to starting either programme.  

 

Applicants seeking admission to the NUS MBA- LKYSPP MPA double degree programme must have:

• A National University of Singapore (NUS) honours degree (at least 2nd Upper) or an equivalent degree, such as a 4-year Bachelor degree with an average grade of B or better;

  OR

  A good Bachelor degree and passed the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy's placement test.

• A minimum of five years of full-time post-graduation work experience
• Good GMAT score (Analytical writing assessment, Verbal, Quantitative and Total)
• Applicants whose undergraduate degree was not in English are required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores (minimum TOEFL score of 620 or IELTS band of 6.5)

Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy - Master in Public Administration (MPA)

40 modular credits (MCs) comprising 6 core modules (or equivalent), 4 elective modules & a pass in the MPA Capstone Examination

 

The total graduation requirement of both degrees is 68 MCs + 40 MCs = 108 MCs
