Plagiarism
All MBA students share the responsibility for upholding the academic standards and reputation of the university. Academic honesty is a prerequisite condition in the pursuit and acquisition of knowledge.
Students are expected to complete the core modules before embarking on electives as elective modules normally have pre-requisites.
The Special Term is conducted during the Summer Vacation and is optional. A full-time candidate may register for up to 3 modules while a part-time candidate may register for 3 module for the Special Term.
A full-time candidate may opt to participate in an internship during Special Term but no credit is given.
Period of Candidature
The minimum period of candidature for the degree of MBA is 16 months of full-time study and 28 months of part-time study.
The maximum periods of candidature for full-time and part-time candidates are four (4) years and six (6) years respectively, inclusive of approved medical leave and leave of absence.
The School may withdraw a candidate from his/her program of study if, in the Board’s opinion, the candidate’s progress has not reached a satisfactory level of proficiency.
On-line Registration of Modules
The School’s Graduate Enquiry And Registration System (GEARS) is available on the internet for students to make academic enquiries and registration of modules.
The web page is at
https://www.bschool.nus.edu.sg/ap/PostGrad/AddDrop.aspx. Students must select their modules via this system prior to the commencement of each semester. Module allocation is done using a computer program with tiered priorities.
Adding & Dropping of Modules
Candidates are permitted to add and/or drop modules via GEARS within the first two weeks of the regular semester and the first week of the Special Term.
Through the GEARS system, the modules are allocated to the students via balloting method. Please note that graduating students will have priority over class selection, especillay in their final semester.

Note
As 2 MCs modules come in various time schedules, please refer to MBA Office to know the deadline for penalty for dropping modules.
A candidate who does not withdraw from a module of study must sit the examination in that module unless granted leave of absence (not applicable to the optional Special Term) by the School.
A candidate wishing to withdraw after the Add/Drop period must submit the completed Withdrawal of Module(s) Form and must ensure that a reply is obtained from the School. Fees paid for the semester are non-refundable.
A candidate who withdraws from any module after the prescribed period in each regular term (week 4) or the special term (week 2) will be deemed to have sat and failed in that module. No extension of the maximum period of candidature will be permitted as a result of such failure.

Management Practicum Guidelines
Management Practicum Guidelines - You are required to register this 4MC module during the module registration as well as during the add/drop period. Dropping the module after the stipulated period will result a penalty.
Graduating student who has completed his or her 68MCs, has the option to go for the Life Long Learning Program (LLLP) open to all NUS MBA Alumni, whereby he or she can attend NUS MBA classes and audit each module (subject to a small application fee), and will include access to all printed or other materials such as cases given to students.
A non-refundable administrative fee of S$200 will be charged for each module audited. The fee will include access to all printed or other material such as cases given to students.
Please note that all payments should be made by cheque or bankdraft drawn on a bank in Singapore should be crossed and made payable to the “National University of Singapore”. All payments must be made in Singapore currency. Please write your Student number, full name and telephone number on the reverse of your cheque and attach it to the application form. You may submit these applications to the Student Development – Curriculum Unit – Karen Tan () or Serene Tan ()

Extension of Candidature
Students who will graduate after Semester 1 09/10 (December 2009) but wish to extend their candidature till end of Semester 2 09/10 (May 2010) can opt to apply for “Extension of Candidature”.
Deadline for application: 23 Oct 09, Friday
Deadline for withdrawal of application: 9 Dec 09, Wednesday
Extension Policies
- Deadlines for application/withdrawal will be strictly administered and penalties will be accorded strictly. No late applications will be accepted.
- Students who apply for extension will need to register for at least a 4MC module in Semester 2 09/10. Students are not allowed to audit modules.
- Students who opt to drop the module after withdrawal date (9 Dec 09) will receive a “Fail” grade for the module they’ve registered for.
- All module registration will be administered by the Office and add/drop period in January 2010 will not apply.
- Students will only graduate after Semester 2 09/10 and should you drop the module, no conferment will be granted till end of Semester 09/10.
- Students will attend the Commencement Ceremony in July 2010.
- Students can only extend their candidature only once in the program.
- All other miscellaneous fees for the extended semester is payable.
- Module fee of $2,500 is not applicable here.
