Giving Back to the BizAd Community

ime flies and before we know it, we will be graduating soon. Like you, I look forward to the exciting corporate world. But at this moment, it is also a time for me to reflect on my days as a student.

University education was never easy for me. The increase in cost of living and tuition fees constantly put a strain on my family. Like some of my friends, I had to take up part-time jobs to help supplement my family's income to pay the school fees. However, I was fortunate to be awarded bursaries by the School, which really helped lessen my financial burdens.

I enjoyed my time in the School. In fact, through the many activities that I took up at the School, I made many good friends and I know these friendships will last a lifetime. At this juncture, as I leave BizAd, I feel it is also a time for me to contribute back to the School as my way to "pay it forward".

And I am doing this through Commencement Class Giving 2008 – an annual programme that aims to raise bursary funds for our juniors.

Last year at the inaugural launch of the programme, 50 students showed their support and they helped raise a total amount of $2,000.

I am sure this year we can do the Class of 2008 proud and aim higher. So would you join me and make a gift of $8 or $20.08 now to mark our graduating year? Whatever the amount, all of us have an opportunity to play a part in this meaningful programme. Our united effort will benefit the successive generation of BizAders who need financial help.

Thank you for allowing me to share my story. I wish you success in all your future endeavors. Let us make a difference to BizAd together!

With best wishes
