NUS Business School Alumni Have Raised More Than Half a Million for Bursaries

Initiated by Mr Yeo Keng Joon (MBA alumnus, Class of 1985), a group of dedicated alumni have raised $289,500 endowed funds to support bursaries (each worth $2,500) in perpetuity at the School.

The endowed gift, named after the NUS Business School Alumni Association (NUSBSAA) will attract a dollar-for-dollar matching grant from the Singapore government, which effectively brings the NUSBSAA Bursary Fund to $579,000.

Recognising the value of an NUS education, these alumni want to carry on the tradition of giving back to the School.

Said Keng Joon, “Supporting education for financially needy students is a most worthwhile venture, for the simple reason that it’s not helping just one kid – we will help the family as well and hopefully change the future course of their lives for the better. I am very grateful to my fellow alumni, faculty and friends for supporting this cause which will benefit eleven needy students each year at NUS Business School in the many years to come."
