WRDS is a revolutionary Internet-based business data service from the Wharton School. This is an Internet based service and can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
FDB has subscribed to the following databases through WRDS:
- Compustat (US) Data, Compustat Complete Back Data Package, Compustat (Global), Price/ Dividend/ Earnings , Executive Compensation from Compustat
- NYSE/ AMEX/NASDAQ daily and onthly Stocks and Monthly US Govt. Bonds, US Indices data from CRSP
- Dow Jones Averages (Dow Jones), Research Information system (FDIC), current options, Implied Volatility from Philadelphia stock Exchange (PHLX).
- Eventus.
- TAQ database from January 1993 till December 2007.
- CRSP-Compustat Merged database
- IBES
- PACAP
- EMDB
- Institute for the Study of Security Markets (ISSM)
- 13F and Insider Filing Data from Thomson Financials
- IRI

How Does One Access the Data?
- Point your web browser to http://wrds.wharton.upenn.edu.
- In the center of the page, you will see a link entitled "account request."
Click on that link.
- Click on the "new account" link and complete the Account Request form.
- Follow the instructions to apply for the account.
- Once your account has been created, you will receive an e-mail with your Log-in and Password information.
- You may log into WRDS and begin using your new account. Because the service is internet-based, you can access WRDS from anywhere in the world.
