Biography
Dr Chng Chee Kiong is a certified public accountant of Singapore, and obtained his PhD from the University of Queensland, Australia in 2000. His research work revolves around financial disclosures issues, corporate governance issues and executive compensation issues. He is currently also the Publications Manager of the Centre, and his responsibilities include coordination for the publication of the Centre's quarterly newsletter Corporate Governance Executive.

Biography
Dr. Ho is an accountant by training having obtained his bachelor with first class honours and master degree from Monash University, Australia. He is also a CPA under the Australia Society of CPAs. He graduated with a Master in Industrial Administration and a PhD. from Carnegie Mellon University, USA. He is currently the academic director of the MBA Programme at NUS Business School.
He has taught in Monash University, Carnegie Mellon University, and currently is an assistant professor at the NUS Business School. He was awarded excellence in teaching at Carnegie Mellon University and NUS. He is involved in several Executive Development Programmes, (for example, Stanford-NUS Executive Programme, Samsung School of Asia Manager Programme, Financial Management Programme, SGH-Postgraduate Medical Institute Finance and Accounting Programme among others). Dr Ho serves as financial consultant to individuals and corporations.
Dr Ho serves as a member of the Examination Committee of the Institute of CPAs of Singapore and is a full member of the Singapore Institute of Directors. He serves as treasurer in numerous not-for-profit organizations.
He specializes in accounting regulation, the use of creative accounting, earnings management and financial reporting. He is involved in feedback on development of latest regulations in the areas of companies law and accounting regulations. He also teaches finance especially valuation using accounting numbers and valuation and risk characteristics of firms.
Dr Ho has published in numerous finance and accounting journals, including practitioners' journal.

LAM Swee Sum

Biography
Lam Swee Sum is an associate professor of finance at the NUS Business School. She is an accountant by training and graduated with a PhD. degree in finance from the University of Washington, Seattle. Paper qualifications aside, Swee Sum has had diverse work experience in banking, corporate finance and real estate prior to joining NUS. She holds professional qualifications as a certified public accountant and a chartered financial analyst.
She has held various visiting scholarships at The Anderson School at UCLA, the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and the Swiss Institute of Banking and Finance, University of St. Gallen. She has served as Vice-Dean (Academic Affairs, Finance and Administration) of the NUS Business School and sits on the Board of Management of the Academic Staff Provident Fund as well as the Investment Committee of the NUS.
Outside the University, she sits on advisory and trustee boards as well as investment committees. She has consulted widely with UBS AG, Citibank, The Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, Deutsche Bank, OUB, Maybank (Singapore), the Hong Leong Group of Companies (Malaysia), etc. She serves as trainer, grader and standard setter for the Association for Investment Management and Research. She was also a member of the Singapore National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation Council for Financial Markets Development.
She teaches investment analysis and management, corporate finance and investment banking for both undergraduate and graduate programs. She has also directed and taught in various NUS executive development programs like the Accounting and Finance for Non-Financial Managers Program, the Financial Management Program and the Central Banking and Financial Markets Program.
Her research interests include equity and venture capital valuations, privatizations and initial public offerings as well as corporate governance issues. She has published in diverse journals like Financial Management, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Applied Financial Economics, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Journal of International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation and International Review of Economics and Finance. She has also contributed to chapters in financial series like Research in International Business and Finance and New Directions in Finance. In this connection, she has served as reviewer and program committee member for various journals and conferences respectively.

Biography
Trevor Wilkins is an Associate Professor of Finance and Accounting at the NUS Business School. He has been at University of Singapore/Joint Campus/National University of Singapore since December 1972. He has also held teaching and research positions at University of Queensland, Ohio State University, University of California, Berkeley, University of Florida and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He teaches financial accounting, management accounting, management planning and control, and financial statement analysis in both the undergraduate and MBA programs. He has also consulted for several local and multinational firms in Singapore and South East Asia.
His research focuses on issues in financial accounting, with an emphasis on earnings management and off-balance sheet financing. He has published in these areas in Abacus, Accounting and Business Research, Australian Journal of Management, The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, British Accounting Review, Pacific Basin Capital Markets Research, International Journal of Accounting, Journal of Asian Business, and Journal of Business Finance and Accounting. In addition to extensive academic and research conference presentations, he has made presentations at professional accounting and banking gatherings, and also published widely in professional accounting and banking journals in Australia, New Zealand, Philippines and Singapore. He also serves on the editorial boards and review panels of several journals, is on the International Advisory Board for global adaptation of a prominent US textbook used in many major US universities, and was a founding member and member of the Board of Directors of the Asia Pacific Finance Association for two terms until 1997.
Current working papers are focused on earnings management of Singaporean firms during the Asian Financial Crisis, and accounting measurement practices within the ASEAN countries.

Biography
Ruth Tan is Associate Professor of Finance in the NUS Business School at the National University of Singapore. She is currently serving on the Board of Management of the NUS Academic Staff Provident Fund. In 2002, she held the post of Vice Dean of Finance and Administration in the School.
She teaches business finance, personal finance, corporate finance and financial markets to both undergraduates and graduates. She graduated with Honours in Accountancy from NUS and holds a Masters (with honours) and a Doctoral degree in finance from the Pennsylvania State University and the University of Washington respectively. She is also a qualified CPA.
Prof. Tan has published widely in international academic journals and professional journals such as Pacific Basin Finance Journal, Journal of International Financial Management and Accounting, Applied Financial Economics, Accounting Research Journal, Pulse and Institutional Investor. She is currently an associate editor of the Asian Case Research Journal and frequently serves as a reviewer for international journals. She has consulted for various organizations including BP Asia Pacific, Caltex and Singapore Petroleum, and has also conducted in-house training programs for various multinational organisations.

Biography
Dr. ER lectures on various finance, insurance and risk management topics at the NUS Business School as an adjunct Assistant Professor. He, has many years of experiences in teaching and consulting.
At present, he is the Program Director of Asian Risk Management Institute (ARIMI). The Institute organizes seminars and workshops on matters pertaining to risk management, crisis management and crisis communication.
He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (1st Class Honours) from the National University of Singapore, an MA(Applied Economics) and PhD(Risk Management and Insurance) from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Organizations that he has worked with include the US EPA, the United Nations, the Singapore National Co-operatives Federation and the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

TAN Wee Cheng

Biography
Mr. Tan Wee Cheng is an adjunct associate professor of accounting at NUS Business School where he has taught finance and accounting related subjects. He is a certified public accountant having graduated from Nanyang Technological University in 1993 with first class honours in accountancy. He also has a masters in finance from London Business School.
Mr. Tan has broad experience in corporate financial management, investors relations and strategic planning as Group CFO of a listed chemical group with operations based in China; leveraged buyouts and financial buyers activities in Europe; and audit, special investigation and due diligence work in Asia (especially China) and Mauritius.
Mr. Tan began his career as an auditor in Price Waterhouse Singapore and joined a London investment bank, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, in 1998, where he held the position of VP, Pan-European Leverage Buyouts. In 2003, he joined the Prudential Policy department of Monetary Authority of Singapore where he was involved in policy formulation of matters relating to banking regulation. Between 1995 and 1997, he was the Group CFO of a company listed on the Singapore Exchange, where he played a significant role in getting the company listed as well as in subsequent investor relations and fund-raising activities among institutional investors in Asia, Europe and USA to fund major corporate expansion and acquisitions.
Mr. Tan has published in the Stock Exchange of Singapore Journal.
