Biography
Dr. Gunter Dufey is Professor Emeritus of Corporate Strategy, International Business and Finance at the University of Michigan Business School and a Professorial Fellow of Banking and Finance at the Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is also a principal of Pacific International Business Associates. His academic interests center on international money and capital markets as well as on financial policy of multinational corporations, specializing in issues on corporate governance, financing policies and international expansion strategy. Prof. Dufey has published extensively.
Over the years, he held appointments as National Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Visiting Professor at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University (1980-81), Visiting Scholar with the Ministry of Finance (FAIR) in Tokyo, Japan, and Visiting and Adjunct Professor at Nanyang Business School, Singapore (2000-01). He administered the LBRP Chair of International Corporate Finance at WHU Otto Beisheim Graduate School, near Koblenz, Germany (1993-2000) and also holds an honorary professorship at Universitaet des Saarlandes, Saarbruecken.
Prof. Dufey has been a member of the board of directors of Fuji Logitech, Tokyo/Shizuoka from 1994 to 1998 and continues to serve on the boards of Guinness/Atkinson Funds (USA) and three subsidiaries of General Motors Acceptance Corporation (GMAC).
He has served on several high profile cases in the United States, such as Wells Fargo vs. Citibank and Proctor & Gamble vs. Bankers Trust, as an expert witness and adviser to the Federal Court, respectively.
He has lectured and traveled extensively in the Far East and has worked with McKinsey and Co, Singapore from September 2001 to February 2003, supporting the corporate governance practice of the firm in Asia.
He divides his time between homes in Singapore and Ann Arbor, MI. USA.

SURINDER KATHPALIA

Biography
Surinder Kathpalia is managing director for Standard & Poor’s large and rapidly growing business in Asia. He assumed this position in August 2004 and is responsible for further developing Standard & Poor’s leading position in the region’s financial markets. Standard & Poor’s has over 130 staff located across Asia, as well as alliances with leading local financial and credit rating information companies. For the last three years, Standard & Poor’s has been selected as the “Most Influential Rating Agency in Asia”. Surinder’s focus is to accelerate the introduction of Standard & Poor’s non-credit rating products to meet the region’s growing need for risk management, equity, and funds market services. He will also intensify Standard & Poor’s investment in key local markets.
Based in Singapore since 1996, Surinder has helped build Standard & Poor’s strong regional franchise through a series of management and market development positions held over the years, including Singapore office head and head of business development for South East Asia and the Indian sub-continent. He joined Standard & Poor’s in 1996. Prior to joining Standard & Poor’s, Surinder worked as an investment banker with HSBC Investment Bank in London and Mumbai, and as a Principal with Ernst & Young in Singapore.
Surinder is a UK Chartered Accountant, holds a Masters degree in Management from the London Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce from Sydenham College, University of Bombay.

Biography
Mr Loh is Managing Director of Phillip Securities Pte Ltd and Director of Phillip Capital Management (S) Ltd. He is also a certified public accountant and serves as the president for the CPA Australia division in Singapore.
Hoon Sun has had diverse work experience in financial control, banking and investment. Previously, he was Executive Vice President and Head of Overseas Union Bank’s Treasury and Investment Banking and Chairman of OUB Investment Management Ltd. He has also served as Chairman of the Gold Exchange of Singapore, Board Member of SIMEX and the Stock Exchange of Singapore, Member of the Securities Industry Council and a director of a number of public and private companies.

Biography
Mr Thein is a Council Member of the Singapore Institute of Directors. He retired from Coopers & Lybrand legacy firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers as a senior partner in 1999 after 37 years with the Firm. He was Vice Chairman of Coopers & Lybrand and Managing Partner of its management consulting services firm, from its inception in 1972 until its global integration within the world firm in 1995. He is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore. He is a director and a member of the audit, nominating and remuneration committees of several listed companies and is active in promoting and advancing the practice of corporate governance in Singapore

PETER WALLACE

Biography
Mr Wallace is the Practice Leader of Ernst & Young's Global Financial Services group in Singapore and specialises in serving and advising financial institutions.
Peter has also been heavily involved with providing corporate governance related advice to a whole range of clients addressing risk management, enterprise-wide risk management, corporate governance training to board level, director and board assessment and internal audit consulting and advisory work. He has also been responsible for drafting "Managing Risk - Internal Control Guidance for Directors" which was published by Ernst & Young in 2001 and endorsed by the Singapore Institute of Directors. Other published articles include the 12 part corporate governance series that ran in the Business Times.
Peter is currently researching and writing a book on the topic of Corporate Governance for one of the World's largest publishing houses.
Biography
Mr Yeoh, a partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers Singapore, has more than 20 years of public accounting experience and his clients include a number of major listed companies in Singapore. He graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Accounting from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. Mr Yeoh is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, as well as a practising member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore. Mr Yeoh is the partner in charge of the Professional Standards Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers which covers Corporate Reporting as well as Corporate Governance. Mr Yeoh is also a council member of the Singapore Institute of Directors.
